This Refund & Return Policy explains our order, cancellation, and return practices.
By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms below.
Order Policy
Processing Time
All confirmed orders enter our fulfillment queue and are processed and packed starting
at
8:00 AM on the next working day after order placement.
Order Accuracy
Customers are responsible for verifying all details – product type, quantity, shipping
address, and contact information –
before confirming the order.
Cancellation / Modification Policy
Before the Next Working Day 8:00 AM Warehouse Cut-off
If you request a cancellation, modification, or correction to your order details
before our next working day 8:00 AM
processing cut-off, we will cancel the order and issue store credit for the full amount.
The credit will be available
immediately for you to place a new order.
After 8:00 AM Cut-off but Before Shipment is Booked
If cancellation is requested after the 8:00 AM cut-off but before the order is booked
for shipment, we can cancel it.
A processing fee of 1% of the order value or ₹50 (whichever is greater)
will be deducted,
and the balance will be issued as store credit.
After Shipment is Booked or Dispatched
Once the order is booked for shipment or dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.
Note: Refunds for cancellations are issued as store credit only.
If items go out of stock before you place a new order, Yarnlay cannot be held responsible.
Return Policy
1. Knitting, Crochet & Craft Supplies
Non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable.
This includes yarns, threads, needles, hooks, and related accessories.
2. Handmade Products
Most handmade items are eligible for return within 7 days of delivery,
unless explicitly marked as Non-Returnable on the product page.
Made-to-order handmade products are not eligible for return, as they are custom
crafted for you.
Conditions for Handmade Returns:
- • Items must be unused, in original condition, and with all tags and packaging intact.
- • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- • A trackable courier service must be used, and proof of postage should be retained
until the return is processed.
Refunds for Handmade Items:
Upon receiving and inspecting the returned product, Yarnlay will issue:
- • Store Credit (default method), OR
- • Refund to the original payment method in cases of defective, damaged, or incorrect
product delivery.
Damaged / Incorrect Product Received
If a package appears damaged or tampered with, please refuse delivery
and immediately share pictures with us on +91 98261 78691 (WhatsApp).
If you receive a wrong, defective, or damaged product, notify us within 7 days
of delivery,
along with a continuous unboxing video (from opening the parcel until
the issue is clearly shown).
The unboxing video is mandatory to investigate and process refunds
or replacements.
Once verified, we will respond within 5 working days.
Eligible refunds are processed within 4–6 working days to the original
payment method.
Return to Origin (RTO) Cases
If an order returns to us due to any of the following reasons, no refund will be
issued.
Reshipping will only be done after payment of two-way shipping charges
(for free shipping orders, actual courier cost will be charged):
- • Incorrect/incomplete shipping address
- • Invalid or unreachable phone number
- • Recipient unavailable or not contactable
- • Recipient refusal
- • OTP-verified cancellations
- • Automated IVR calls not answered
Additional Terms
- Force Majeure: Yarnlay will not be held liable for delays, cancellations,
or delivery failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural
disasters, strikes, courier delays, lockdowns).
- Final Discretion: All returns and refunds are subject to Yarnlay’s
final approval after inspection.
- Non-Refundable Categories: Digital goods, e-gift cards, and promotional
vouchers are strictly non-refundable.
- Legal Compliance: This policy complies with applicable Indian consumer
protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal
Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
